PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for improving image quality by reducing noise, and a camera. SOLUTION: When a signal of a high level is applied to a signal line QL on the basis of a control signal from a communication/timing control part, a switch SW1 is switched to an on-state, and in a switch SW2, a signal line QB is switched to an off-state (non-conductive state) by a signal of a low level inverted by an inverter 2,718. When the signal of a low level is applied to the signal line QL, the switch SW1 is switched to an off-state, and the switch SW2 is switched to an on-state by a signal of a high level inverted by the inverter 2,718. When a load current ILOAD is normal, a path selecting part 2,717 selects a path PATHa, and when the load current ILOAD is smaller than a normal state, the path selecting part 2,717 selects a path PATHb.
