PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve which inhibits unstable action of a cylinder held in a nozzle hole and accurately controls fuel injection. SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve 1 is provided with; injection holes 13; the nozzle hole 12 communicating to the injection holes; a housing 11 opening to an anti-injection hole side wall surface 34 of the nozzle hole 12 and having a fuel passage 31 supplying high pressure fuel injected from the injection holes to the nozzle hole 12 formed therein; a valve member 14 held in the nozzle hole 12 and opening and closing the injection holes; and a cylinder 20 dividing the nozzle hole 12 into a fuel pocket chamber 18 accumulating high pressure fuel supplied from the fuel passage 31 and a pressure control chamber 19 accumulating high pressure fuel controlling opening and closing of the valve member 14, by making one end part thereof abut on the anti-injection hole side wall surface 34 and making one end part of the valve element 14 slidably inserted in an inner circumference wall. A release surface 27 releasing fuel flow of high pressure fuel supplied from the fuel passage 31 is formed on an outer circumference wall of the cylinder 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
