PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material filling apparatus which can reduce a waste coating material to thereby reduce the running cost. SOLUTION: The coating material filling apparatus 21 is provided with a discharge passage 31 for discharging the coating material and air accumulated in a coating material filling passage 22a to the outside. A throttling device 41 is provided on the discharge passage 31. The throttling device 41 has a plurality of elements arranged in line. As a result, the flow rate of the coating material flowing in the discharge passage 31 is throttled by the elements and when the coating material and air are discharged to the outside through the discharge passage 31, the coating material is therefore slowly discharged.
