PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting and sewing apparatus capable of accurately and easily adjusting an edge width and coping with both of new and ready-made tatami. SOLUTION: In the cutting and sewing apparatus includes a cutting blade 1 and a sewing machine 2 to be moved along a tatami floor 4 positioned and fixed on the table 31 of a frame 2 for cutting the upper front or lower front of a tatami base 4 by the cutting blade 1 and sewing an edge cloth to the upper front or lower front of the tatami base 4 by the sewing machine 2, the cutting blade 1 is loaded on a cutting blade moving means provided on the frame 3 and moved along the tatami base 4 according to the cutting blade moving means, and the sewing machine 2 is loaded on a sewing machine position adjusting means provided in the cutting blade moving means, moved along the tatami base 4 integrally with the cutting blade 1 according to the cutting blade moving means and position-adjusted orthogonally to the tatami base 4 separately from the cutting blade 1 according to the sewing machine position adjusting means.
