PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition capable of strongly preventing generation of malodor from laundry when drying the laundry and after washing and increasing malodor of kitchen utensils with age. SOLUTION: This deodorant composition contains phthalaldehyde. Alternatively, this deodorant composition contains alkaline agent. Further, this deodorant composition contains inorganic peroxide.
