PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an attachment and a tail wheel body for movement interfere with each other in work performed by mounting the attachment in the rear of a tilling section. SOLUTION: In the walking-type working machine 1, the tilling section 6 for tilling soil along with the traveling of a machine body is equipped with a ground contact member such as a tail sleigh 16 for regulating the plowing depth of the tilling section 6 by contact with the ground. The tail sleigh 16 is fitted with the tail wheel body 17 for movement, which lifts the tilling section 6 from a soil surface or a road surface during non-operations. When the tail wheel 17 can switch between such an action attitude as to protrude downward with respect to the lower end of the tail sleigh 16, and such a nonaction attitude as to recede upward with respect to the lower end thereof, it switches between the action attitude and the nonaction one by being rotated on the longitudinally-directed rotational axis (rotating shaft 18).
