PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that operations are complicated and erroneous operations tend to occur, because various switching operations, for example, for lifting and lowering a seedling planting apparatus, for changing a traveling direction, and for taking in and out a line drawing marker are required, when a seedling planting machine body is positioned at a levee edge in the terminal part of a seedling planting step, during seedling planting operations in a field. SOLUTION: In this operating device of the seedling planting machine, a planting and lifting switch (3) for lifting the seedling planting apparatus (1) with respect to a vehicle body (2) is arranged at the upside; a planting and lowering switch (4) for lowering the seedling planting apparatus (1) with respect to the vehicle body (2) is arranged on the downside; a left marker switch (7) for locating a left marker (5), applying a line drawing action onto a soil surface on the left side of the machine body, in a line drawing action position is arranged on the left side; a right marker switch (8) for locating a right marker (6), applying a line drawing action onto a soil surface on the right side of the machine body, in a line drawing action position is arranged on the right side; and the planting and lifting switch (3), the planting and lowering switch (4), the left marker switch (7) and the right marker switch (8) are arranged in a cross shape.
