The instrument has two end supports e.g. rod (5) and nut (6), stretchable or stretched between strings, and a base body (2) provided with a front side (20) that is turned towards the strings. The supports of the strings are fastened to the body in an acoustic coupling on the front side of the base body. The base body is permanently extended over an entire length between the end supports, and the base body and/or a hollow space of the body comprises a constant cross-section over the entire length between the end supports. The instrument is provided with a polyvinylidene fluoride foil.
