An electronic apparatus and a method of controlling the electronic apparatus are provided to prevent error in key input even though the lifetime of the electronic apparatus elapses, thereby improving reliability of key input. An electronic apparatus(100) includes a key input unit(120), a key voltage value storage unit(130), and a controller(140). The key input unit outputs an input key voltage value corresponding to at least one inputted key. The key voltage value storage unit stores at least one set key voltage value range corresponding to the key. The controller compares the input key voltage value with the set key voltage value range to determine the inputted key and updates the set key voltage value range such that the input key voltage value exists in the set key voltage value range based on the determination result.
