<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical apparatus capable of making the light emit at high efficiency, from a light-emitting body emerging. <P>SOLUTION: The optical apparatus is provided with an elliptical cylinder part 1; a light-emitting body housing part 2 provided for the vicinity of a first focal position F1 of the elliptical cylinder part 1; a conical reflecting part 3 provided for the vicinity of a second focal position F2 of the elliptical cylinder part 1; and reflecting means 4 (4a-4c), each being provided to a side surface 1b of the elliptical cylinder part 1 and surfaces 1a and 1c at upper and lower positions.
