<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decomposition method which enables the easy and sure decomposition of an object. <P>SOLUTION: The object is decomposed by a titanium-silicon composite oxide containing titanium, silicon, and oxygen to chemically bond them, and having an absorption peak at 650-990 cm<SP>-1</SP>in infrared absorption spectrum obtained by infrared diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (FT-IR DRS).
