PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low profile image recording device capable of allowing a user to easily take out a recorded medium which is image-recorded and discharged in a barrel. SOLUTION: A paper feed tray 29 and a paper discharge tray 21 are arranged in an opening 16 of a printer unit 20 in upper and lower stages with the paper discharge tray 21 being on the upper side. A recording paper sheet stored in the paper feed tray 29 is image-recorded in a process of being conveyed along a conveying passage 23 and discharged on the paper discharge tray 21. In an expansion tray 61 of the paper discharge tray 21, an upper surface 95 at a rear end 122 in the first posture is supported in a substantially horizontal manner. When the paper discharge tray 21 is changed from the first posture to the second posture, the upper surface 95 is moved the paper feed tray 29 side in the first posture. Due to the posture change of the paper discharge tray 21, a space for putting a hand of a user to take out a recorded paper at the opening 16 is expanded downwardly. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
