PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a section carrying device adjustable to be adequate for sections of few-to-many pages different in thickness. SOLUTION: The section carrying device comprises a first carrying means 1 arranged under a delivery fan of a folding mechanism for receiving sections supplied from the delivery fan and carrying them in parallel to the axis of the delivery fan, a first carrying and moving means 3 for moving the first carrying means 1 to increase/reduce a space from the axis of the delivery fan corresponding to the thickness of the sections while keeping them in parallel to the axis of the delivery fan, a second carrying means 2 connected to the carrying downstream side of the first carrying means 1 in a section carrying direction, and a connection maintaining means 4 using the spring force of a spring for moving the second carrying means 2 in linkage with the movement of the first carrying means 1.
