PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device preventing further progress of defect by blocking power to a nozzle line drive sections in the case electric abnormalities in the nozzle line drive sections carrying out record processing by electroconductive ink and a power block control method and program by the device. SOLUTION: A power abnormality control section 9 carries out the determination of presence or absence of the generation of the electric abnormalities of the nozzle line drive sections 12-1-1 to 12-n-m due to electric insulation failure in ink chambers where the electroconductive ink is held in the nozzles in the nozzle lines 13-1-1 to 13-n-m in every nozzle line drive sections 12-1-1 to 12-n-m based on the detecting results of power abnormality detecting sections 11-1-1 to 11-n-m. Here, the power abnormality control section 9 controls power block section 10 and blocks the power fed to sections where the electric abnormalities are determined to be generated of the nozzle line drive sections 12-1-1 to 12-n-m in the case the electric abnormalities are determined to be generated.
