PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine which is excellent in terms of dust removing performance and durability. SOLUTION: The washing and drying machine includes an inner tank 65 for accommodating laundry 5, an outer tank 62 for housing the inner tank 65 freely rotatably, a first driving source 68 for driving the inner tank 62 to rotate, a dust preventing filter 80 for capturing lint or the like produced from the laundry 5 during the drying operation, and a dust removing body 81 brought into sliding contact with the dust preventing filter 80 for removing the captured lint or the like and is configured to drive the dust removing body 81 with a water flow in the outer tank 62. The washing and drying machine reliably removes the lint or the like attached to the dust preventing filter 80 by the dust removing body 81, does not need a driving source for driving the dust removing body such as a motor since the dust removing body 81 is driven by the water flow, and never applies unreasonable force to the dust removing body 81 and the dust preventing filter 80.
