<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating the position of a synchronous motor while reducing computational complexity. <P>SOLUTION: A first voltage current model is determined by performing coordinate transformation of a basic voltage current model representing the relation of a voltage command value given to a synchronous motor 30 and the detection value of current based on an estimated rotary coordinate system, a second voltage current model is determined by individualizing the first voltage current model, the second voltage current model is deformed into a third voltage current model, a parameter matrix of voltage current is determined by applying an identification theory to the third voltage current model, and the position of a rotor is operated when the synchronous motor is stopping or rotating at a low speed. In such a method for estimating the position of a synchronous motor, the parameter matrix is expressed by using any one of voltage parameters or current parameters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
