<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of a high temperature fuel cell system, capable of protecting an anode without requiring storage and replenishment of hydrogen. <P>SOLUTION: This operation method of the fuel cell system having a reformer to manufacture reformed gas from hydrocarbon-based fuel and a high temperature fuel cell generating power using the reformed gas obtained from the reformer, has a process to bring the anode into a reducing gas atmosphere by supplying hydrogen produced in the electrolysis of water to the anode of the fuel cell when the reformer cannot manufacture the reformed gas from the hydrocarbon-based fuel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
