PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver that improves reception sensitivity by reducing effects of noise generated by equipment connected with the receiver. SOLUTION: The receiver 1 is provided with a USB connector 11, a tuner 12, a receiving antenna 13, and an additional antenna 3. The additional antenna 3 is located between the USB connector 11 and the receiving antenna 13 and has variable antenna length L. The additional antenna 3 changes frequency characteristics of the receiving antenna 13 so that dip points appear. When the antenna length L of the additional antenna 3 is changed, a frequency, in which the dip points appear, of the receiving antenna 13 is changed. If the additional antenna 3 is adjusted so as to have the antenna length L corresponding to a frequency of a radio wave to be received with the receiving antenna 13, it is possible to improve reception sensitivity of the receiving antenna 13.
