PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device used for recording information in an information recording medium in which information can be performed using light of two wave length, a recording device including the optical head device, and a method for recording information in the recording medium. SOLUTION: In the optical head device for recording information for the recording medium in which light of a first wavelength is reflected by the prescribed quantity and light of a second wavelength is reflected lower than light of the first wavelength, light of the first and the second wavelengths are output simultaneously, tracking of an objective lens is controlled by light of the first wavelength, information is recorded in a recording layer of the recording medium by light of the second wavelength, then, information recorded in the recording medium is reproduced by output in which the component in which light of the second wavelength is reflected by the recording layer of the recording medium is detected by photodetectors 103, 105.
