PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trochoid type oil pump which reduces a discharge pulsation and noise, the pump which is provided in an extremely simple structure. SOLUTION: The trochoid type oil pump is constituted by a rotor chamber 1, an outer rotor 6 and an inner rotor 5. The rotor chamber 1 has an intake port 2 and a discharge port 3. A plurality of spaces among teeth S, S, etc., which are formed by the profiles 5a, 6a of the inner rotor 5 and the outer rotor 6 consist of a maximum sealing space S<SB>max</SB>, the plurality of spaces among teeth S, S, etc., in the area of the intake port 2, the plurality of spaces among teeth S, S, etc., in the area of the discharge port 3, and non-contact areas K provided only on the tooth surfaces of the profiles 6a of the outer rotor 6. The maximum sealing space S<SB>max</SB>is in the area of a partition part 4 between the intake port 2 and the discharge port 3. The intake port 2 and the plurality of spaces among teeth S, S, etc., in the discharge port 3 are communicated with each other via clearance parts provided by the non-contact areas K.
