PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal compressor capable of suppressing stalling in a diffuser at a low flow rate and enabling stable operation over all flow rate regions from a low flow rate region to a high flow rate region. SOLUTION: The centrifugal compressor 10 is provided with an impeller 15 rotatably journaled inside a casing and the diffuser 22 arranged around the impeller 15, and a plurality of vanes 30 are provided in the diffuser 22. The rotation center O of the impeller 15 is arranged to be eccentric from the center P of the diffuser 22, and the vanes 30b arranged on the narrow side of the flow passage width r and the vanes 30a arranged on the wide side of the flow passage width r of the diffuser 22 are reversely rotatably arranged, respectively. As drive means for opening/closing the flow passage of the diffuser 22 along with reverse rotations of the respective vanes 30a, 30b, arms 33, movable disks 34 and an actuator 38 are provided. By controlling the operation of the drive means in accordance with a flow rate, the flow passage of the diffuser 22 is switched. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
