PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cleaning equipment for a steel sheet where both of floating scum and sludge are exhausted from a line tank, and are returned to a circulation tank, thus a cleaning liquid in the line tank can be always kept clean. SOLUTION: The cleaning equipment for a steel sheet comprises: a line tank 1 through which the steel sheet to be cleaned passes; a circulation tank 2 for feeding and circulating a cleaning liquid to the line tank 1; a circulation pump 7 feeding the cleaning liquid in the circulation tank 2 to the line tank 1; a bottom drainage piping system 6 returning sludge 11 deposited in the line tank 1 from an exhaust port 1a provided at the bottom of the line tank 1 to the circulation tank 2 together with the cleaning liquid; and an overflow piping system 5 returning scum 12 in the line tank 1 from the overflow port 1b provided at the liquid face part of the line tank 1 to the circulation tank 2 together with the cleaning liquid.
