PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine the road surface state on which a vehicle travels. SOLUTION: In the vehicle traveling road determination device, a presumption acceleration operation part 104 operates presumed acceleration Ge presumed to be generated on the vehicle based on an output of a drive source for traveling the vehicle. An actual acceleration operation part 105 calculates actual acceleration Gx actually generated on the vehicle. A road surface state determination part 106 corrects the presumed acceleration Ge according to the vehicle state for giving influence to a relationship of the presumed acceleration and the actual acceleration to obtain presumed acceleration Ga after correction, and compares the presumed acceleration Ga after correction with the actual acceleration Gx to determine the road surface state.
