<p>The invention relates to improvements to the main identified patent, by which means the double-walled structure of a tank is improved by the provision of a gap between the two walls, for positioning sensors that can detect any leakage of the fluid contained inside the tank. The improvements can especially be carried out on tanks containing petrol and similar fuels, and involve providing intermediate layers between the two walls, one of the intermediate layers comprising a plurality of protruding elements arranged over the surface thereof such that, when said layer is pressed against the layer immediately adjacent to the outer wall, the protruding elements ensure that the gap is maintained. Both the inner wall and the intermediate layers are obtained by means of pre-fabricated strips of resinous material, while the inner wall also comprises an anti-corrosion coating which is applied to the surface thereof and also consists of a resin which is highly resistant to chemical agents and is a good electrical conductor.</p> |
