A motor control apparatus (110) calculates, based on a motor speed, a motor torque command and causes a motor to generate a torque in accordance with the motor torque command, thereby driving a load machine coupled to the motor. The motor control apparatus (110) comprises a speed compensating part (103) that, when calculating, based on the motor speed, a speed compensation torque, causes the frequency characteristic of the speed compensation torque for the motor speed to be a low frequency band blocking characteristic such that the steady-state gain of the frequency response is lower than the gain maximum value; and a torque adder (106) that adds an externally inputted torque feedforward signal to the speed compensation torque to provide the motor torque command. |
