Disclosed is a porphyrazine dye represented by the formula (1) or a salt thereof. (1) wherein the rings A to D independently represent a benzene ring or a 6-membered nitrogenated hetero aromatic ring, provided that at least o ne of the rings A to D represents the benzene ring and at least one of the r emainder represents the nitrogenated hetero aromatic ring; E represents an a lkylene group; X represents an anilino group having a substituent or the lik e; Y represents an amino group, a hydroxy group, or a mono- or di-alkylamino group or a nitrogenated heterocyclic group which may have a substituent, pr ovided that a combination of an amino group or a hydroxy group as Y and a su bstituted anilino group as X is excluded; b represents a number of 0 to 2.9; and c represents a number of 0.1 to 3, provided that the sum total of b and c ranges from 1 to 3. It becomes possible to provide a porphyrazine dye whi ch has a good color as a cyan ink, has excellent light resistance, ozone res istance and moisture resistance, and does not cause the bronze phenomenon an d therefore can be suitably used in an ink-jet recording.
