摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for accurate measurement of the speed of revolution of rotary equipment, in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: A device for measuring speed of revolution of rotary equipment is equipped with a measurement period setting portion (800) that sets a position sensor (40A), which outputs a position signal (SSA) and shows the rotation position of M locations (M is an integer of 2 or larger) of an equiphase difference for each single turn of the rotary equipment; a clock signal generating portion (510) for generating a reference clock signal; and a counter (610) for counting the number of pulses of the reference clock signal, and that sets the period factor which indicates the ratio of the measurement period, during which the number of the pulses of the reference clock signal to be counted among a period between the two position signals, generated in turn, with respect to the entire period between the two position signals, as well as, causes the counter to count the number of the pulses of the reference clock signal in the measurement period; and computing portions (660, 670) that make the number of revolutions of the rotary equipment calculated, based on the frequency of the reference clock signal, integer N, the period factor, and a counted value computed by the counter during the measurement period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
