PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify ordering a selected product and the like while using ease with which the product and the like are viewed on a printed matter.

SOLUTION: An order system by printed matter has: printed matter 2 for printing a pattern 16 convertible into electronic data 29 different from one another in at least a product or service together with an article 12 on the product or the service; a portable reader 3 for reading a prescribed pattern 16 to generate the electronic data 29; an order check list 61 for showing order information on the product or the service specified by the electronic data 29; an output means 32 for outputting a total sum 62 of the ordered content shown in the order check list 61; and a transmitting means 40 for transmitting the order check list 61 established after output by the output means 32.
