<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely correct a clock time, even when a time zone (local time zone city) is changed. <P>SOLUTION: A radio-controlled timepiece includes a receiving section 305 for receiving a standard wave containing clock time information; and a reception operation control section 306 for controlling a clock time at which the receiving section 305 carries out a reception operation (on-time reception) for the standard wave automatically. In the reception operation control section 306, the reception operation for the standard wave is carried out at a first clock time among a plurality of clock times (on-time reception clock times) in a predetermined desired time zone at which on-time receptions should be carried out, based on timekeeper's clock times. Only when there is failure in receiving the standard wave at the fist clock time, is on-time receptions carried out sequentially at clock times following the first clock time among the on-time reception clock times, until the reception of the standard wave is carried out successfully; and when an indication to change the time zone is received by a time-zone designating/changing section 302, the on-time reception is carried out at a clock time, immediately following the current clock time in the changed time zone among the on-time reception clock times. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
