<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road capable of suppressing a deterioration in a driver's ability to recognize a change in the shape of a road surface. <P>SOLUTION: Since a plurality of oval patterns 7 are formed almost all over the road surface of the road 1 in a prescribed section 4, the driver can more sufficiently recognize the shape of the road surface in the prescribed section 4 than that of a road surface of a conventional general road composed of the monochrome (e.g. asphalt color) road surface.
