摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient fuel cell in which temperature in the laminating direction of fuel cell stacks laminated in the height direction is uniformalized. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of power generation cells and separators are alternately laminated, and the fuel cell stacks 13 constituted by being fixed on a stand 18 are plurally laminated in the vicinity of the center of a power generating reaction chamber 1 at least in the height direction. A fuel reformer 42 is arranged in the height direction in the vicinity of these fuel cell stacks 13. Introduction pipes 45a to 45d of unreformed fuel gas are connected to the upper end part of this fuel reformer 42, an exhaust pipe 32 of the reformed fuel gas is connected to the lower end part, and at a site opposed to the fuel cell stack 13 at the middle stage in the height direction, a preheating burner 7 is installed.
