PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for obtaining a more suitable scoring result of singing scoring by a karaoke device. SOLUTION: A control unit 12 measures the time T1 from when test character data are displayed on a monitor 36 by a video control unit 38 until when a singing voice signal input by a microphone 25 is output to a DSP 24c. The control unit 12 acquires a time T2 in which the singing voice signal input to the DSP 24c is processed in the DSP 24c. Further, the control unit 12 acquires the time T3 up to when lyrics telop data reproduced by a reproducing unit 12c are output to the video control unit 38. The control unit 12 waits for the sum of the time T1, time T2, and time T3 after lyrics of karaoke music are displayed on the monitor 36 based upon character data, and calculates the pitch difference between pitch data extracted after the wait and pitch data of a singing melody of karaoke music on which a comparison is based to perform scoring corresponding to the calculated pitch difference.
