PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of recording time-series information in a recording medium that allows recording of information in such a manner that additional information is associated with information of decoding/reproduction units, when information of a plurality of recording/reproduction units is included in information within reading/writing units with respect to the recording medium. SOLUTION: The time-series information is compressed before being recorded in a recording medium. Information of a predetermined plurality of decoding/reproduction units for compressed time-series information that is included in a given time, and data that includes: a first pack containing time stamps for information of the predetermined plurality of decoding/reproduction units; and a second pack containing time stamps for additional information extracted by an extraction means and the additional information, are recorded in the recording medium as information of reading/writing units.
