PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay unit which operates as the relay unit interposed between the mobile terminal that becomes an audio source, and an earphone that outputs audio, and which can appropriately perform wireless transmission/reception of audio data to/from a mobile terminal, transmission of an operation signal to the mobile terminal, and the like. SOLUTION: A headset is mounted on a relay unit and is available as a wireless headset via Bluetooth communication with a mobile terminal. When receiving digital mobile broadcast, on the other hand, the relay unit is connected with the mobile terminal by a shield cable that also operates as a broadcast receiving antenna.
