An image forming apparatus is provided to adjust the pressing power of a pressing roller for a heating roller using a guide bar, thereby reducing the pressing power when jam occurs to remove a paper easily and adjusting a nip properly according to a flow of the paper to prevent the generation of curls, rumples, and wrap jam. An image forming apparatus has a fusing unit in the body. The fusing unit includes a heating roller(3a) and a pressing roller(3b) for fixing an image transferred to a paper. The image forming apparatus has an elastic member(3d) and a guide bar(10). The elastic member supports the pressing roller to a side of the heating roller elastically. The guide bar is installed in parallel with the pressing roller. A holding protrusion(11) is installed in the guide bar. The pressing power of the pressing roller is varied by the holding protrusion engaged with the pressing roller selectively as the guide bar moves horizontally.
