<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball of which the fly is increased by sufficiently realizing the low spinning property of the ball, and which is excellent in hitting feeling and excellent in split-resistant performance as well, and has three layers or more while being equipped with a core, an intermediate layer and a cover. <P>SOLUTION: This golf ball is equipped with the core, the cover and the intermediate layer which is arranged between them. The core has a diameter of 36 to 40 mm, and a flexible deformation amount of 3.5 to 4.2 mm. The intermediate layer has the Shore D hardness of 45 to 55, and a thickness of 0.6 to 1.6 mm. The cover has the Shore D hardness of 63 to 66, and a thickness of 0.6 to 1.6. The flexible deformation amount of the overall ball is 2.6 to 3.5 mm, and the total thickness of the intermediate layer and the cover is 1.8 to 2.8 mm. The hardness is set so that the Shore D hardness of respective areas may satisfy (the core center<the core surface<the intermediate layer<the cover). At the same time, the cover is formed of a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic elastomer as the main component. The intermediate layer is formed of a specified resin composition for which 90% or more of the acid radical is neutralized. Therefore, the fly of the golf ball is increased by sufficiently realizing the low spinning of the ball, and the golf ball becomes one excellent in hitting feeling and excellent in split-resistant performance as well. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
