<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller with a holder having the long service life, by stably guiding the roller. <P>SOLUTION: This roller 11 with the holder has a plurality of crowning-shaped rollers 12 including a columnar part 12a having a constant diameter and an inclined part 12b continuing with both sides of the columnar part 12a and inclined so as to gradually reduce a diameter, a pair of ring parts 14 and 15, a plurality of column parts 16 mutually connecting the pair of ring parts 14 and 15, a pocket 17 storing the rollers 12 between the adjacent column parts 16, and the holder 13 having a guide surface 16 occupying a predetermined width in the radial direction on a wall surface of the column parts 16 opposed to the column part 12a.
