<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide friction characteristic of a cable in a parking brake. <P>SOLUTION: A drum brake is made common relative to a parking brake and a service brake. When the cable is pulled and the parking brake is in the action state, when a liquid pressure of a brake cylinder of the service brake is increased, brake side tension of an inner cable is reduced (period T<SB>F</SB>). Although the brake side tension of the inner cable is reduced accompanying with increase of the liquid pressure of the brake cylinder, a relationship of an increase amount of the liquid pressure and a reduction amount of the brake side tension is already known. Further, even if the brake side tension is varied by friction of the cable, the detection value by a tension sensor is varied while delayed to the variation. From the above aspect, friction force of the cable can be obtained based on a pressure-increase amount (Pc-P0) during the time after the increase of the liquid pressure is started until the detection value by the tension sensor is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
