PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comb plate abnormality detecting device for a passenger conveyer, capable of preventing the occurrence of an accident by detecting attachment failure of a comb plate to a tip end of a getting on/off floor. SOLUTION: A first conductive element 20 is provided on first sides of attaching surfaces 12, 17 of the comb plate 14 and the getting on/off floors 8, 9. A second conductive element 22 electrically conducted by contacting with the first conductive element 20 is provided on second sides of the attaching surfaces. An abnormality detecting means detecting change of conduction between the first conductive element and the second conductive element and stopping operation is provided.
