PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technical term classification device for automatically classifying technical terms. SOLUTION: This technical term classification device is provided with a technical term storage part 11 for storing two or more technical terms; an adjacent word/phrase storage part 12 for storing adjacent words/phrases being words/phrases which may be adjacent to the technical terms; a retrieval part 14 for configuring retrieval terms by making the adjacent words/phrases stored in the adjacent word/phrases storage part 12 adjacent to the technical terms stored in the technical term storage part 11, and for retrieving the retrieval terms in a plurality of document information being information showing a document in a specific field; a classification part 15 for classifying the technical terms included in the retrieval terms according to the retrieval result of the retrieval part 14; a classification result information storage part 16 for storing classification result information being information showing the classification result of the classification part 15; and an output part 17 for outputting the classification result information stored in the classification result information storage part 16.
