PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which is capable of suppressing a return component when a pixel shift cannot be performed well because of an effect such as the color aberration of a lens or the like and the return component is left. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging device 102 in which a position to sample B and R signals is arranged while being shifted by an only half sampling interval with respect to a position to sample a G signal; a video signal processing section 103 for performing processing such as gain adjustment etc. on a signal outputted from the imaging device 102; a phase shift section 104 for correcting phase deviation in Ra, Ga and Ba signals outputted from the video signal processing section 103; a gain control section 106 which outputs a control signal to reduce a gain when color aberration is equal to or more than a predetermined value; and a high frequency permutation section 105 which adds a high frequency component outputted from the phase shift section 104 and permutes the high frequency component in accordance with the control signal.
