PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein the prevention of corrosion has limitations since the coating of a resin pin hole easily occurring in coating and that of a foil corner section and a side is difficult, where a lead tab surface may be coated with resin for preventing corrosion disconnection since the corrosion disconnection may result after extraction lead tab foil is exposed to the alteration of an electrolyte and halogen, such as chlorine, flowing out of a capacitor member by the long-term use of a capacitor. SOLUTION: An aluminum electrolytic capacitor has: a capacitor element having a strip extraction lead tab made of aluminum at one end; a case having an opening at one end for storing the capacitor element; a hole sealing plate for sealing the opening; and an external terminal that is provided in the hole sealing plate for connecting to the extraction lead tab in a case. In the aluminum electrolytic capacitor, a sacrifice metal is provided at the inner surface side of the case in the external terminal of the hole sealing plate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
