摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage sufficiently a circular arc shape of a raceway surface without being influenced by inner ring width dimension accuracy. SOLUTION: This management method of the circular arc shape of raceway surfaces 12a, 12b of an inner ring 11 used for a self-aligning roller bearing is described as follows: an edge 13 is formed on the full circumference of at least one fringe between both fringes of the ring-shaped inner circumferential surface; two ring-shaped tools 15a wherein the edge 13 forms a complete round shape are used as a pair; each edge diameter of the pair of ring-shaped tools 15a is equal; the full circumference of the edge 13 of one ring-shaped tool 15a is brought into contact with one raceway surface 12a of the inner ring 11 and the full circumference of the edge of the other ring-shaped tool 15a is brought into contact with the other raceway surface 12a of the inner ring 11; a distance between the edges 13 of the pair of ring-shaped tools 15a, 15a is measured; then, a distance between the edges 13 of a pair of ring-shaped tools 15b is measured similarly by using the ring-shaped tools 15b having each different edge diameter; and at least two sets of combinational data of the edge diameter and the distance between the edges are measured, to thereby manage the shape of the inner ring raceway surface.
