PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding system constant velocity universal joint capable of effectively restraining noise in a cabin caused by vibration in the axial direction of an engine, unpleasant vibration and muffled sound caused by induced thrust force. SOLUTION: In this double offset type sliding system constant velocity universal joint, a plurality of recesses 4d are juxtaposed and formed in the peripheral direction on an outer peripheral surface 4c of a cage 4, and a rolling body 6 is stored in these recesses 4d in a rotatable state. A part of the rolling body 6 is projected by a predetermined quantity from the recesses 4d in a state of allowing the rolling body 6 to directly abut on a bottom surface of the recesses 4d. When adjusting a shaft of an outside joint member 1 to a shaft of the cage 4, a predetermined clearance is formed between a place of the rolling body 6 most projected from the recesses 4d and an inner peripheral surface 1b of the outside joint member 1 in a state of allowing the rolling body 6 to directly abut on the bottom surface of the recesses 4d.
