PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the quantity of foreign matter adhering to the ink ejection surface. SOLUTION: An inkjet printer comprises an inkjet head 2 having an ink ejection surface 3a in which a plurality of nozzles are formed, and a cap 60 having an annular protrusion 62 defining a recess opening toward the ink ejection surface 3a. The annular protrusion 62 consists of a pair of first extensions 63 and a pair of second extensions 64 connected with the opposite ends of the first extensions 63. The pair of second extensions 64 are entirely lower than the first extensions 63 and the tip of the second extension 64 is separated from the ink ejection surface 3a under a state where the first extension 63 is abutting against the ink ejection surface 3a.
