The invention relates to a key device, comprising a housing made of two housing parts, wherein a key element is pivotally supported by means of a swivel carrier (ST). One of the housing parts has an elevation (EH), which can be received in the recess of the swivel carrier for a swiveling mount. To this end, the elevation in the cross-section thereof has one or more third sections, which define a third maximum radius of the elevation, which corresponds to the first radius of the recess, and one or more fourth sections, which define a radius that is smaller than the third radius of the elevation. If the elevation is received in the recess, in a second swivel position at least one or more first sections face the one or more fourth sections such that a first predetermined clearance (SP1) is created between the recess and the elevation, by which a connection of the housing parts by means of a friction welding method is enabled.
