Disclosed is a synthesis method for synthesizing a polymer complex microcrystal having three-dimensionally regularly positioned pores therein within a short time and in a selective manner. Specifically disclosed is a method for synthesizing a polymer complex crystal, which is characterized by mixing a metal solution (1) with a ligand solution (2) so that the resulting mixture forms a single phase, wherein the metal solution (1) is prepared by mixing a zinc halide (II) and a solvent (A) which can dissolve the zinc halide therein, and the ligand solution (2) is prepared by mixing a tridentate ligand having three coordinately binding sites through which the ligand can coordinate to zinc in the zinc halide with a solvent (B) which can dissolve the tridentate ligand therein. The method enables to synthesize a microcrystal of a polymer complex which has a tree-dimensional network structure formed by the coordination of the tridentate ligand to the zinc, and also has three-dimensionally regularly positioned pores in the three-dimensional network structure.
