A shrink-fit tool holder that is provided with a large amount of interference for shrink fir and from which a tool can be easily removed. The shrink-fit tool holder (10) has a chuck (40) where the shank (2) of the tool (1) is fixed by shrink fit. A tubular collet (60) having at its forward end a flange (68) extending in the radial direction is provided between the tool shank (2) and the chuck (40), and the forward end (50) of the chuck (40) is engaged in the radial direction with the flange (68) by heating the chuck (40).
