FIELD: determination of physical and mechanical characteristics. SUBSTANCE: device has two supporting members for embracing the blank positioned one on top of the other. Each member includes bearing cylindrical plate with guiding grooves. Flat sections with pins pressed in them are installed in grooves with slide fit. Device is also provided with ring mounted on bearing cylindrical plate. Ring has circular recess, wedges, thrust pins, and springs for pressing of thrust pins to wedges. Thrust pins are mounted on flat sectors, wedges are positioned in circular recess of ring equidistantly from one another in circular direction. Ring of cylindrical bearing plate of lower blank embracing supporting member is coupled to cylindrical bearing plate of upper blank embracing supporting member over cylindrical surface with slide fit. In this case, all moving parts form kinematic pairs. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of realization of homogeneous linear stressed state in cylindrical blank. 2 cl, 2 dwgs
