<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and efficiently perform heat treatment while reducing a quantity of generated NOx, when sequentially introducing a product to be heated to a plurality of combustion zones having a plurality of combustion devices installed therein and heating the product. <P>SOLUTION: A continuous heating furnace which sequentially introduces the product 1 to be heated to the plurality of the combustion zones 12 to 15 having the plurality of the combustion devices 20 installed therein and heats the product is operated by: using a heat accumulation type burner 20 having at least one heat accumulation section 21 in the combustion zone in an introduction side of the product to be heated; when a temperature in the combustion zone is a predetermined temperature or lower, spouting a combustion air which is not heated and a fuel into a combustion section 23 in a leading edge side of an air supply nozzle 22, from an air supply nozzle and a first fuel supply nozzle 24 respectively, without exhausting a burnt exhaust gas through the heat accumulation type burner; and making them combust by igniting them with an ignition means 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
